Chuckwalla are some of the most efficient tour managers/sound engineers I’ve ever worked with! They have an extensive background in the industry, which gives them the ability to float between roles/tasks to service their clients and their unique needs. There’s no task too big or small, they jump in and get the job done. It’s a rarity you find people that are well-rounded in their skillset but more importantly finding people that care about the artist(s) as much as they do.
I’ve spent years searching for someone I trust my clients with as much in Europe and am happy to say there are few as able, competent and thorough as Alistair is. I repeatedly turn to him for my clients’ touring needs. I can’t recommend him enough.
Chuckwalla Touring has been the best all in one tour service for our international artists! We’ve had the pleasure of working with the team on large scale productions for club shows to festival stages on three continents. They are incredibly experienced in planning, budgeting and production with etiquette. But most importantly the team always goes above and beyond in taking care of our artists so they can focus on performing their best shows yet.
From a manager’s perspective, Chuckwalla made things easy on us to the point of near-absurdity. They know their way around every part of the live business: advancing, routing, logistics and planning, settlements, the list goes on. And those bullet points don’t even touch upon their considerable abilities as a front of house engineers and production managers. I’d write more but it would just be reiterations of these same themes. They’re an ideal fit.
Chuckwalla is the BEST! As a band we’ve done about 5 years of intensive touring and in that time we’ve never felt more taken care of than when we toured with Chuckwalla as our sound engineer/tour manager. They made us feel so comfortable on stage (our in-ear mixes were perfect every night) and they were incredibly organized and always remained calm in dealing with any problems that arose. Touring can sometimes be a stressful experience, but Chuckwalla’s personality and professionalism made our tour with them such a breeze.
Chuckwalla Touring have always been easy and straightforward to work with. Their approach to tour managing is stellar, and works in tandem with us as artist management, whether this is executing the simpler tasks, or dealing with on the road issues that arise unexpectedly. The front of house results are world class. My only fear of providing this testimonial is it leading to them not being available next time I need them on a tour!
